I am the writer who forgets to write

I am the cup of ramen noodles I keep
forgetting to take out of the
microwave. I am the orange
juice that spills on a fourteen hour
international flight. I am the mint
plant on the windowsill that only thrives
when I water it. I am the old
prescription glasses that worsen
my sight.

I am the constellations hidden by
the sun. I am the clifftop
where all can be seen. I am the
birds that nest in mailboxes.
I am the girl who wishes
for wings.
