I Am Worth It

Location

She is a small bird,

Flying high in the air,

Looking among the land,

But when she sees that there’s not more than chasing leaves,

She begins to crave for some adventure.

She keeps flying but finally falls,

Landing on the ground,

And once she lands,

She looks at herself in the pond below,

And begins to think why try to fly,

I am just a small bird,

But under those golden feathers,

There is more than she can see,

For through chasing leaves she doesn’t lose her integrity,

She finally notices I am not just here on this earth to chase leaves,

I am here for a reason,

I am no small bird,

I have the ability to fly free.

I believe the poem captures the meaning behind selfworth and portrays that well all start from the bottom and need to take a look at ourselves in a better light.

I believe that this poem really repersents self worth and what it means to take a step back from the negativitiy in ones life and really see yourself in a more positive life.

Love the poem!  It really captures what it's like to feel small and unable, but at the same time shows how there's hope to "fly".
