I Am Not
It's not about what I am,
It's about what I'm not
Because I'm not about to
Tell you I'm creative, fun, and smart
I'm not confined to expectations,
Regulations, or damnations;
I'm not a side piece or side order
My personality has no borders
I can't and won't put myself in a box
That'd be lying a box is what I am not
I'm not confined to certain standards or rules
I am birds and I am trees, I am rocks and I am jewels
I am sunshine, I am nightfall, I am so much more
You ask what I am but that shuts so many doors.
