I am no Fool

Really? You’re asking me why I write?

I write because I can

I write because I have the ability I have been blessed with

To be able to hold a pen and write what comes out of me

Because I can experience experiences I never could

Every action,

Is a mirror reflection

I write because I can connect with others

I know why the caged bird sings, Ms. Angelou

I know one flew over the cuckoo’s nest

I know, and I can write

Oh look at that dork, writing away

That’s what they say when they see me scribbling without sway

But I don’t care what they say anyway,

Because I hold a power that they don’t

For the pen is mightier than the sword.

I write because I can

And as the saying goes:

Fools talk because they have to say something

Wise men, because they have something to say

I have something to say, I say it in my writing

I say that god exists

I say that hope is still alive

I say that I like syrup on my pancakes

I write what I want, and that is what makes it special

No limits, boundaries, locks

Open to your word and your word only.

Remember, fools write because they have to say something,

And my mama didn’t raise no fool!
