I am More Than What You Think

I am more than just a number, I am hardworking

My hands, covered in blister from working long shifts,

Won't stop until the world sees what I truly have to offer

I work for everything I have, everything I am

Nothing can stop my determination

I am more than just a race, I am Colombian gold

I walk down the hallway wearing my family tree with pride

I hear the stereotypes being thrown at me, but I pay no mind

My skin doesn't define my fate

Nothing will make me think otherwise

I am more than just a body, I am emotion

My mind is a vast Kingdom filled with adventure

With thoughts too advanced for my age,

I walk around this Kingdom  hoping,

To find someone willing to see it too.
