I Am Grey

Life is not a box of chocolates.

Life is an endless ladder that each of us have to climb.

It is nothing but an empty dream.

To learn, to trust, to depend on others, is truly the greatest obstacle.

My life is the color grey.

Lifeless, but still living, trying to find color while knowing I have some of my own.

I have a granular feeling.

My structure is detailed because I have so many small and distinct parts.

Each piece is full of value.

Most consider grey an inferior color, but the way I see it, it is pure in its own special way.

I am like the color grey, unfinished, somber, and gaunt.

Grey embodies the dried-out remains of the once lively.

This color goes on and on, and once in a great while, its given a chance.

Everyone should get a chance, shouldn’t they?

Do not be fooled, I am only a quick glance towards the ground.

Don’t be mistaken, I enjoy a period of solitude.

I’m peaceful from deep within.

I am only settling . . .
