I am a feminist and no I don’t hate men,

infect if you knew me in high school i did quite the opposite.

I am a feminist because even though I know the statistics about eating disorders,

I am the statistics.
I am a feminist and yes I have the right to be angry

because I make 75 cents to the mans dollar

and if I were a woman of color that number would drop even lower.

I am a feminist because lets “Make America great again!”
But when has it ever been great?

Was it great when women weren’t allowed to vote, or attend college, or even file for divorce?
Was it great when we slaved millions of people because their skin didn’t look like ours?
Or was it great when all our schools were getting shot up?

I am a feminist because this country has never been great

and because this country will only be great if we stand up and scream

I am a feminist

and no I am not ashamed.
I am a feminist

fighting for a change.
