I AM... A Dreamer on The Line, The Thin Blue Line

A dreamer she can be

but a saver she would be;

Young, Committed,

and a dreamer;

A small girl with a big dream

bigger than what she can be;

Making a difference in the people

to serve, protect, and respect;

Living a life under a thin blue line

one that only a few would like;

A small girl with a big dream

bigger than what she can be;

Coming from far

a place that’s like paradise;

Venezuelan is the girl that came to the land

of the free and a home of  braves;

Opportunities change

doors open and close;

She believe on her faith

that a window can open to her face;

Dreaming on the day

to carry the badge on her chest;

Many told her she can’t

she raised upon them and said, watch me while you stand;

All the no’s made her change

into the one she never thought she could be;

Low self esteem

but still had a big dream;

Now she believes

that through Christ she will win;

As many people thought that without the language

she could not;

Stronger she became

and all thanks to them;

To serve, protect, and respect

those that even laugh at her;

A small girl with a big dream

bigger than what she can be:

Enforcing the law

to save people’s lives:

For those who laugh

she smiles back;

Stroger she became

young, Committed,

and a now a leader:

A small girl with a big dream

That one day a hero she could be.
