I AM THAT CATERPILLAR

I am that badgering caterpillar of ugliness,

which tries to come again and again,

You keep plucking me,

keep condeming me,

isolating me from your precious plane.

I return,

this time more hopefull,

Again you remove me,

Again I return,

But you ignore me this time.

From your neglect,

I resiliently climb,

to the finest branches and twines,

and anxiously wait for your amazed sign,

You are shocked to see,

That I am born again,

A “better” version i’ve transformed to be,

Beautiful, limitless and fluttering my wings across the sky,

Fo now, I’m that butterfly.
