As I am

My hair is wild, crazy, thick, and not very tamable but , from what I heard

it's very beautiful and I got use to it, cause i am who i am

The color of my skin is not to be define as dark or light ,

it is to be recognized as a window into history, an achievement of African American

culture and most importantly the finest of chocolates.

The shape of my body says I love my mama collard greens and corn bread

it also says society thinks I need to cut out the sugar in my diet

,but hey I like what I like....is my Health they worry about or is the is the way I look

Hmmm, what they say don't matter anyway because

I've been told I look good in my jeans or mmmm maybe they forgot

that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

In the end I'm wild, crazy, thick and can not be tame and from what

I know im beautiful and they should get use to it and take me as I am.
