I Am

Yang and Yin

They struggle, they win.

I am darkness, I am light.

I am peace, I am might.

Don't get me wrong I love

But I don't know what's above

Who keeps watch over us,

I just don't have trust.

That's just who I am

I can't give a damn.

'Cause I grew too fast,

My childhood just didn't last.

It was taken from me.

Torn away one day.

No retribution,

Just confusion.

I'm left to my thoughts

But I guess that's my lot

In life I suffer

I use my smile as a buffer.

I push people away,

I keep family at bay.

I know what I've done

And there's nothing I've won.

Just want one person to know who I am

So that they can save me.
