But I am...
A Human
A Man
A Woman
An American
Young
Old
Rich
Poor
We walk around with the intentions of a demanding child, sticky with greed
the minds of adults, clouded, hazy, unawakened to truth.
the quiet question no one asks themselves…
why?
The words that are purposely conceived in our chests, and violently birthed off our lips…
BECAUSE I DESERVE IT, BECAUSE I AM ENTITLED
Entitlement: The fruit of our moral blindness which has rotted and fermented.
A nation drunk because they deserve to be.
Where are the actions based on the belief of Intrinsic Value?
Has that belief gone extinct? Was there a vaccine that has prevented waves of generations to obtain this ancient moral code?
Why are some souls worth more than others?
Because of an Earthly paper that replaced bartering and gold?
Because of disease, or lack thereof?
Because a title or a last name?
Because of talent?
Our earthly perceptions of rank and worth is only slightly less putrid than our actions based on those perceptions.
Stop.
Please.
WE are one.
