I Am

I am the moon

Disappearing as the morning settles in

To let the sun shine

Raveled in the dark

I remain silent as beauty emits over the desolate land

Enthralled I watch as the sun beams with radiance

Unseen from all, I patiently observe from afar

Pouring with bliss

while proudly streaming glistening golden rays

Her vibrance warming her illumination

When her brilliance dulls

The air squalls around her

Setting slowly among the longing eyes

She reclaims her space hidden within the dark

Unseen from all, I am bound to reappear

Only to replace her brilliance for the night

I am the moon

Quietly weaving my way through the stars

To let the sun rest
