I AM

I am from cigarette butts and police lights

I am from outcasts and rebels

I am from lonely days and Tom and Jerry on Saturday mornings (when that was actually a thing)

I am from privelaged and underestimated

I am from fireflies and mason jars

I am from (somewhat) open fields

I am from dysfunctional and insecure

I am from a place that I think highly of because while it may not be a dream it is mine and mine alone.

I have yet to fit into a clear category

I am from my own destiny that is unclear and unplanned

I am going to change the world with my smile because I am stronger than my past and the chains that try to keep me there
