I Am

I'm a crack in the glass
Imperfection at its finest
Riveted and broken
This is me
I'm the spark in a fire
Causing disaster
burnt and Devastated
This is me
I'm the drop to overflow
The last straw
Pushing things overboard
This is me
I'm the dry dirt
Begging for water
Cracked and bleeding
This is me
I'm the wind Roaring through canyons
Pushing things along
Swirling and blowing
This is me
I'm the one with the red dress on, dancing in the dark at night
Confusion circling around
And I just want you to know I am me
I'm the lightning that ends the storm
Feeling electric tonight
Causing fear in those within reach
This is me
I'm the stars in the night
Far and distant
Misunderstood yet yearning
This is me
I'm the tree in the meadow
I don't belong yet I shelter many
This is me
I'm the ocean or the sea
Deep and unseen
And not willing to give my secrets away
This is me
I'm a shadow
Dark and scary
Unapproachable but sheltering hidden things
Not too bad...
This is me
I'm the hall light coming through the key hole
Revealing and small
Give and taking hope
This is me
I'm the rain on a hot day
Providing relief
Though not appreciated
This is me
I'm the crack in the foundation
Letting water in
Splitting things apart
Not a piece of art
Instead I have to be covered up, never to be seen
This is me
I'm a snowflake in a storm
Unique but lost
Don't notice me
Drifting to the earth, soon to melt
This is me
I am the virus
Infecting and painful
At all costs avoid me
This is me
I am the ache in your bones
I remind you of the past
Digging sharper and deeper
Making it hard to move
This is me
I'm the thunder in a storm
When in turmoil I'll be known
Loud and ominous
This is me
I'm the poison that runs in your veins
Turning things black
This is me
