But I’m Not Okay

Sun, 08/25/2019 - 22:31 -- baymaka

All alone.

In a room full of faces.

Pretty faces.

Faces of regret.

Trying to fill all the empty places,

worn out spaces.

I haven’t found it yet.

Looking in from the outside,

trying to understand the meaning of this game.

You make your move and I’ll make mine.

No one wins, you lose.

I lose.

You can look right at me,

through me, around me.

I’ll say it’s alright.

Maybe it’s selfish, pitiful, I don’t know.

But I’m afraid—

of what hides behind

the lies.

You can look right at me,

through me, around me,

I’ll say, it’s alright.

But I’m not okay.
