I’m An Immigrant, Have Mercy On Me

Mon, 05/01/2017 - 14:23 -- hlz1999

I don't want to take your jobs, or have your money-

I don't want your welfare, property, or clothes.

I don't want to take advantage of your health care or social security-

You don't even have to treat me kindly, with respect, or dignity.

I want a chance at a better life-

A chance for opportunity, health, prosperity-

A chance for happiness.

I want to not have you kick me and my family out-

For we just want to be as well off as you.

I want you to give me a chance.

I want you to not hurt me,

Deport me,

Take my family away,

Or hate me.

For I am an immigrant,

Have Mercy On Me.
