Hydrangeas
Walking barefoot on the ground, I seem to understand it now
Cars not seen in sight, I'm out of time
Ripped newspapers and broken soda bottles
They inhabit the streets of the deserted city
And as I make my way, I have only one thing to say
"Sadness is my companion at all times and when I feel lonely, I'm not alone"
Those pink hydrangeas that are in my hands, they are all for you
But you are not here, not where you said you will be
You are on the other side, where you said you will meet me
As I kneel down to say my prayers, those hydrangeas are the only flares
And I leave them there
Abandoned on the concrete, turning grey
I wish I was dead, nothing left for me here
And as I make my way back, I'm ready to join you on the other side
