The Human Race
Location
As life goes on, we dwindle away,
From fighting and lying, everyday.
We place ourselves to lose the race,
By putting ourselves in a never-ending chase:
To be the best
To be number one
To stand out among everyone
And as we run,
As we compete,
We lose ourselves, as we head for defeat.
Fortune and fame,
Now make this world go round.
Nor God, or science, keeps us on the ground.
We forget what life is truly about,
Until we realize and try to find a way out.
By that time,
It’s far to late.
And we have already lost the race.
