How is it that you

How is it that you can stand there and be okay

with all the wrongs being done to your fellow human?

How is it that you can stand there and tell me

that you are superior just because you are a man?

How can you think that just because I am a women,

I deserve to be treated differently?

I walk down the street

Get a cat call

And what is expected of me

Is to stay silent

And go my merry way

When I get a job

I work just as hard as you do

But you get paid more

And I am expected

to stay silent

And continue my merry life

As if it isn't happening
