How Dare You?

Location

How dare you? How dare you let your brothers run these streets as if cool to hang is some gang? How dare you let your sisters fall into the traps of these young, ignorant boys and watch her produce something so precious that she believes is a toy? How dare you let your mother put an needle in her arm as if it would do no harm? How dare you sit there and believe that your father is your daddy when he made it a goal never to play that role? How dare you go out and buy 800 dollar clothes when your family is eating out of one bowl? How dare you say school not for you when you don't have nothing else to do. How dare you? But how dare we? How dare we not reach for stars? How dare we choose to wake up with internal scars? How dare we let the color of our skin determines who we are and what we believe in? How dare we not stand up? How dare we give up? How dare we discourage our children's dream? How dare we not open up and see that life is more that what it seems? My brothers and sisters, it is time that you and I get up and go follow our dreams. We shall not continue to run these streets. We want those who didn't believe us say "How dare you become successful?"
