Hourglass

Time is too short

As the seconds tick on, we hear the moments of our life ebb away

Slowly, slowly, with each passing day we feel the future

Turn into memories of experiences and potential

Turn into the reality that we strive to achieve

for if life is the sum of our choices

Then time is the medium that

choices are made in

Time is too short

To run away from but

Life is too short to spend

Doing anything but running

or falling as sand to flee the frantic toll

of the bells known as time for that wonderful

Vitreous life we cherish is truly worth what we try but try

as we might we may not choose and live and love everything for

Time is too short
