Horizons

What is a horizon to me?
A scarlet sun, an endless sea –
Touches of light upon the darkness.
Rays streaming from the heart,
The heart of our universe.

Vitamin D coursing
Though our veins.
Making life grow,
And die.
Synchronizing with the moon,
Push and pull.

Harboring the essence of stars
Within our own bodies
From a miracle over 14 billion
Years old and we live.
My only regret is that
It’s not for long.
