Hopeless Romantic

Thu, 05/19/2016 - 20:50 -- Alanisr

The nightmares don't end when I turn on the light,

My thoughts prevent me from my rest in the night,

So harsh and so cruel not a good thing to say,

They leave me so nervous to take on the day,

A hopeless romantic and lonely at heart,

Whose body is covered with scars she calls art,

Afraid she will never be loved or adored,

Afraid that someday all her friends will get bored,

Left in the dust with no lover in sight,

All she'll be left with is sorrow and fright,

And who is this girl I am bound to become,

One thinking of death with a rope or a gun.
