"Hope"

She forever hoped that she would find her way,

Spending her nights only drifting away.

Her eyes fluttered opened, and attempted to shut,

Only to hear the voices and screaming in her head erupt.

5 The fear of striking out had been embedded in her brain,

To only hope that after the rainstorm, there would be sunshine again.

The tears, the pain, all that she has lost when trying to regain her worth,

But she only believed what people said, that she brought them mirth.

She prayed and begged the lord for forgiveness,

10 And had hope that she would be blessed for being so forgiving and filled with kindness.

But what was she doing, that was so wrong?

Nobody cared enough, to figure out why.

Her life was a bother to many, but only some had given a chance.

15 Why would you call someone out for being shy?

Why would you hurt her and make her cry.

Nobody knows what she has been through, but only a few had begun to care.

One tear drop, two tear drops, followed by a few,

Would remind her of the life she wanted, and why she wanted to start over new.

But she had hope that it would get better, and eventually it did

She had everything she wanted, and with that being said

She was even more thankful when she did not end up lying still in her bed.
