Honey! you're not a kid anymore!

Your not a kid anymore!

That's what everyone is saying

You're all grown up now,

The day you hold your first set of keys in your hand,

The day your parents send you to the store alone.

it's scary at first,

Then it's thrilling!

You have so much freedom

The day I knew I wasn't a kid anymore

Is when all the sudden I had to run a million errands.

What happened you ask yourself?

Yesterday you were playing in the yard, and

Today you pick up dinner.

driving a car all by yourself

Because of you not being a kid anymore

No more playgrounds

No more “ mom can we get ice cream”!

No more being a kid

Time to grow up

I know it's scary

But you got this because

Your not a kid no more.
