Honey

A hospital waiting room, clean and bright

A melody of cheers in the middle of the night

Sweet honey soothes my soul

A birthday cake, sugary and lit

A chorus of celebration over it

Sweet honey soothes my soul

A morning in church, worship and praise

A shout of joy for my everlasting days

Sweet honey soothes my soul

A lonely girl, tears and isolation

An earnest attempt at perfect intonation

Sweet honey soothes my soul

A moment on stage, faith and community

A dulcet display of glorious unity

Sweet honey soothes my soul
