Honesty is Happiness

It was easier as children to say how we were feeling;

that was before society taught us the rules of our own emotions.

As children, if we felt sad, we told the people around us.

But now that I am older, when asked if I'm doing well, I say yes.

Why do I say yes?

Is it because I don't want the attention?

Is it because I don't want the help?

No.

This is because I grew into the mindset that I am supposed to be doing "well."

Children shout when they are happy;

cry when they are sad.

We could all learn a few things from these kids.
