Honestly,
Don’t act like I’ve ever been okay.
Because it’s in the smile when I’m angry
The straight lips you demanded when you couldn’t take more
The obedience you looked for
It’s all in me
and it is me
and it isn’t me
And I’m not sure how to be because of that
Or how to act, and how not to act and just be
Me?
I’m not sure who you’re talking to.
Who do you want?
Me or the creation?
This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
