Honest truth in a world of lies

Location

As I sit in my darken room, looking up at a familiar shade of grey above,

My views smeared of what it means to be truthful, is it betrayal or is it honesty.

Are the things we see a relfection of mans' love,

or are we simply sitting in a puddle of misconceptional heresy?

What is truth, what is right, what is falsehood, what is to be,

Did God put us here to find out, or test us to even try?

Is the world we look at all bare to see.

or is it ashamed of our glaring eyes, and covers it's selfish lie?

How are angels really seen? as humans with wings and halos?

Or are they fiery wings and brightly beings who chant "do not fear".

What religion to see them, we must go?

Surely you may ask your preacher, he or she should know.

Is our government the definition of honesty?

Sitting in their comfortable chairs as we sit dirty and in defeat.

Their pockets lined with money, ready for debochery and nothing for the economy.

What's the point of trusting them again? Slips my mind when I walk these dirty streets.

What of the media industry? they give us entertainment and a chance to leap.

Oh, I'm sorry, I couldn't understand you. Your mouth is lined with weed and fags.

You worshiped that singer and actor or actress as a god, while you, a simple sheep.

I don't see anything special, just another talentless douchebag.

Jesus, do you see your flock? See how they lie and say such slander.

Jesus? Jesus is that you? What? Can it be? Is that really you?

So even lies have been told about you as well. Indeed a truth replied with banter.

Jesus, I can see your true color. I guess in noir is the real truth.

Once again a dark night has gone by, the light peeking through my broken window.

no answers seem to rise through the bullshit and excuses for another night.

Maybe it's best to live in lies. for some, the lie is all they've known; greeting them with a hello.

But for those who see the real world like me, it's me living in ruins, and to survive it, I must fight.
