HOMELESSNESS

HOMELESSNESS

Homeless, they are not seeing me.
Some stop and stare in silence
They don't have the word to say, but when
A child reaches out, her mother pulls away
"Do not touch that man!" its his choice to stay.

Homeless, Out in the street with no bed
Nor a place to lay my wobble head
The pennies they drop is all i pray
But some look away filled with guilt
Thinking how i end up this way.

Homeless, Out in the cold
All i have is a tattered shirt with no replacement
From sleeping on the floor, I'm in pain
But its nothing compare to the ice cold rain
Nor homelessness, hopelessness and loneliness.
