Location

He once was a man just like you and I

He had a family and a job to get him by.

But then the war came and it all transformed

He went out and fought through the storm.

Everyday he put his life on the line.

We all know the cost, we just choose to be blind.

And when the war ended and it was time to go home

He flew back to the states only to be alone.

His family was gone and they took all he had

And alothough he was alone he was not so sad.

He could find no work.

He lost all hope and went berserk.

Most nights he slept under a tree,

With all the bugs and the bees.

So, next time you see a man begging on the street,

just remember he has a story just like you and me.
