Home

The sun sets beneath the trees from afar

He stares at the ground

Thinking, worrying, anxious

He knows his way home

But tonight everything seems different

The road is narrower

The darkness is darker

A wind lashes his sullen face

He begins walking, going somewhere

The darkness begins to whisper

Telling him to run

He knows his way home

But tonight everything seems different

The road is an abyss

His mind pacing

The shadows dance in prayer

He runs through the trees

The path is lost

The darkness is everywhere

He knows his way home

But tonight everything seems different

The darkness awaits at every turn

The voices tell him

The shadows mock him

He is far from home

The darkness laughs

The shadows grip him

He is lost

Tonight everything is different
