Home

Home is where your people are

Not the house

It’s where your soul is

Not your bones

You can carry it with you in your pocket

You can have your very own home

It’s not the abode

The dwelling

The hall

It’s your heart

And your mind

And where you finally fall

To at the end of the day

When you need a place to stay

A place to go

But have no money to go to and fro

Your home is just there

Right inside

Your heart and your head

And no one can take that from you

Not even when they’ve bled

The last drop from your being

Home is where your people are

Not where you’re living
