Holocaust Horrors
The mistakes we have made are never forgotten
The memory of the bodies, lifeless and rotten
The scenes of gore make their impact
To remember the inhumanities we must go back
The mug shots of those who committed no crime
But only refused to openly lie
About whom they loved, their God and Lord
The price was their lives.
This, they certainly could not afford
Not only were their lives the ones at stake
Mom, dad, sister and baby
Proclamation of faith equaled suicide daily
Not only proclamation of faith
Homosexuality, prostitution, and disabilities
For crimes such as these cost all freedoms and liberties
Enslaved for individuality
We say it’s insanity
A group of people being so cruel
But look at us now, we look the fool.
Are we not enslaving the individual?
Are we not condemning each other?
Acceptance is key
This is what we have been taught by our humanity’s history
