Hollow and Full

Cacophony, Corrosion

“I revel.

When the bone cracks, I snarl.

When the metal shrieks, I squeal.

 When teeth crunch, I savor.

When the throat belches, I bask.

I am she who racks the ears, who breaks the will,

who burns the ash.

Euphony, Inspiration

“I relish.

When a page turns softly, it is I.

When harmonious hymns resound, it is I.

When the wind and water whisper, it is I.

When the snow falls warm, it is I.

I am he who lifts the soul, who soothes the strife,

who muses life.”
