Hole in the Wall

I can tell something has changed

I just can't tell what.

I can see it in your face,

And feel it in my gut.

But when I ask what's wrong,

You just say its nothing.

But even after you're gone,

I can't shake this feeling.

We're talking through a hole in the wall,

You're scared to let me in,

Afraid I won't understand at all,

And leave you in your tail spin.

But I know I can help you,

If you let your mask fall.

But there's not much I can do,

Talking through this hole in the wall.

I hate seeing you like this,

I can see you smile is a fake,

And the real one I miss,

And want to get it whatever it takes.

But you won't let me in,

Always saying that you're fine.

I don't trust that empty grin.

Why is helping you a crime?

We're talking through a hole in the wall,

You're scared to let me in,

Afraid I won't understand at all,

And leave you in your tail spin.

But I know I can help you,

If you let your mask fall.

But there's not much I can do,

Talking through this hole in the wall.

I've given it my all,

Huffed and puffed with all my might.

But you still wan't talk or call,

And I'm still not sure if you're alright.

I don't know what else to do,

But I still care about you.

We're talking through a hole in the wall,

You're scared to let me in,

Afraid I won't understand at all,

And leave you in your tail spin.

But I know I can help you,

If you let your mask fall.

But there's not much I can do,

Talking through this hole in the wall.
