Holding you

Warm eyes glowing like softly lit embers,

Your breaths shallow as if your scared i'll blow away.

I pull you against me... holding you close,

For I know you're much to good to last.

I look into your eyes seeing so much,

Fear of your father and his anger.

Fear of losing those closest to you,

Over all... fear of rejection.

Keeping to yourself,

Going to very few.

Have you lost your way,

Lost the true you.

Holding yourself together,

For showing weakness is frowned upon.

Yet slowly slipping inside,

So you turn to me.

I hold you close,

Bringing us to where we are now.

As you lay in my arms,

Looking at me with your beautiful eyes.

I pull you close... For i fear you'll dissapear forever.
