Holding Me Back

Jumping over the obstacle and breaking through,

No one is going to tell me what I can and cannot do.

I've got my shoes laced up and headphones in,

The beat of the music telling me the power comes from within.

I'll be working against the male population,

As I work towards my goals of college graduation.

Athletic training is my passion in life,

Helping people get better and working for their goals in life.

But I'm not by myself on this road I chose,

I've got my family along for the ride, wherever it goes.

Cheering me on and telling me I can achieve my dreams,

That life will be better than it already seems.

And when I see that finishline ahead of me,

I will know that I have achieved my destiny.
