His Veil

Dear Ignorance,

He's really such a sight

Nobody can tell by his appearance

he's really not alright

He's laughing

He's smiling

He really does seem happy

but in his room all alone

he feels nothing but sappy

He's quiet

He's smart

He's a perfect little mural

but nobody seems to notice

he's in a downward swirl

He's alone

He's scared

He really longs to do it

He closed the door

He's on the floor

He'll be gone in just a minute

Soak up the sadness

Drown in the pain

Swallow your fears

Dance in the rain

Reveal your pain

all through the day

Cry if you must

just don't fade away

He's gone

He's dead

He really took his life

but what stings the most

is that they took the thing

I called my guidance light
