His Love

His love is a candle in the dark of night

For those who need it and follow his word

And those who seek it and follow the light

It loves the sinner, clothes every bird

Carried the wounded and raises the dead

The blind now can see, the lame now can stand

It’s shown in each word, the black and the red

Has traveled from Rome, to all of the lands

He’s made whole those who think they’re too broken

Comforted those who are scared and afraid

His words more romantic than those we’ve spoken

His love has come down, forgiven, and saved

His love has come to the world to save

The love that all of humanity craves.
