His Eyes

Location

I walked in

Expecting nothing

As usual

But then

I turned

And I saw

Those eyes

His eyes

Hazel

Longing

Beautiful

When I saw those eyes

I had to know his name

I needed to

Or at least

That's what I wanted

Then

He looked at me

His eyes looking into mine

He was smiling

So

I smiled back

That look

That smile

Turned into

Hi

Laughs

Hugs

And

More smiles

We had become

Friends

And I learned to

Know him

He is as lovely

As his eyes

But

Those eyes

Would be hard

To say goodbye to

But I knew

We couldn't be

So it had ended

Just as the

Warm

Colorful

Autumn

Dies into the

Cold

Bitter

Winter

It was

One look

One smile

One step the opposite way

But just

One look back

Hoping to see his eyes

Looking back

For me
