High Voltage

this fragile body is electric with veins strung up like power lines

hands at home on pale hipbones and polarity equalized

the ratio of stars to freckles, constellations magnified

a whispered sermon,  a veiled confession

a jolt that stops the hands of time

cutting wires does more damage than it does cutting ties

repaired the circuit, shocked the system, a dead monitor gone live
