Hiding

Thrown out,

Cast aside,

I knew there was no place that I could hide.

Theres nothing I can do

I want to relive the things you put me through.

Holding back,

Looking back,

Everything hurts when you're not on track.

Do what you're told,

Never ask why,

Always wait for that reply.

Never do this,

Always do that,

Always look forward,

Never look back.

Commands and controling,

Get that ball rolling.

You're a puppet in a greater design,

Strings attached until you die.

Never go outside the mold,

Always do what you're told.

This is for girls and boys,

Who just wanted to play with their toys.

They don't care about society until they're fourteen,

Until society effects them.

Until life sets in.

Four years until they find out that the world will hate them,

That Mom and Dad have let go of them.

Living on their own,

They'll have no where to go.

Those strings still attached,

They'll wonder why its worth it to keep on living.

They have a story to be told,

And unless we give them some space,

That story will stay hidden.

Thrown out,

Cast aside.

I knew there was no place that I could hide.
