Hey there stranger of today

Hey, its been awhile

I've missed your smile

The ones I would cause

Let me give a pause

I'm talking to a picture

Your feelings must be a mixture

Maybe you feel sympathy

Of me talking to a photo wistfully

Who is the picture of you ask

The mysterious identity I'll unmask

But first, they aren't dead

They just chose to live without me instead

It's a picture of my family

In the sake of there confedientality

I'll spare the details

My attempt at not thinking of them fails

Though they never seemed to be there

I send up every night a prayer

That they will change there mind

Realize the daughter they left behind

This poem is about:
My family
