Her Strength

Crickets chirping, light off suddenly she's in the dark.
Heart pounding, mind racing, just her & her thoughts.
Good & bad, the wish I could's, was it me? What did I do?

Crickets chirping, lights off, suddenly she's in the dark.
Tears flowing, friends lost, heart squeezing, broken dreams.
Just her & her thoughts.

Hidden sadness overjoyed with smiles, strength in her
bones but still she doesn't feel strong.

Penetrating a door with light, still surrounded by haunted path,
only her & God knows that deep dark past.

Then you hear: Dear servant remember me & I shall remember you.
Do you think I will ever forsake you when I have loved & favored
you?
