Her Spirit Resides In Freedom Fighters

She should have let her brother go instead

But Bellona had set her heart outbound

As she could not stand for unjust bloodshed

With sign raised high and fist above her head

She could not hear her thoughts above the sound

She should have let her brother go instead

She heard the people cry as the smoke spread

Tear-gassed and beaten people on the ground

As she could not stand for unjust bloodshed

Corrupt police beat her to a bright red

But there was a strength in her that they found

She should have let her brother go instead

She kicked and screamed and fought like a warhead

No longer trying to find common ground

As she could not stand for unjust bloodshed

Bellona’s rage spread like a dragon’s dread

A hero, her lifeless body was found

She should have let her brother go instead

As she could not stand for unjust bloodshed
