Her Sound Endures

This love endures like worn rocks

on trembling bays

These beating rays

harass the chords my sand covered hands command

ocean spray like hungry hands tread neck and form

the resounding waves assemble a collection

An ensemble of words no longer spoken

they chance to voice so they may be free

to accompany

and assure me of my lucidity

I used to dream of solitude

with heavy heart had 100 dreams of you

now alone with only her cold wood frame

and through her warm, sweet, sonic grace

I think of home

a transient taste of some longed for place

This guitar is all I have

And now one moment more is all I ask
