Her Salvation

Bursting at the seams with soul
Limitless, feverish in its cage
The carnal, vigorous life untold
Impossible to assuage.

For her to cease, collapse, consent
Yields endangerment to her heart.
Fearful is she of breaking down
And being ripped and torn apart.

By letting go of pieces slow
Her soul, it would not stay.
And then the world would never know
She who longed to fly away.

To put a pen down to a page
Did lift her up and higher.
Can no man squelch, nor night blot out
That soul that burns with fire.
