James 1:6 New English Translation (NET Bible)

But he must ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts

is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind.

The choice between left and right as I need to go straight-forward

Signs of temptation beckon me with excuses well-provided

“Everyone does it” temps with might and drives me toward

The fall that will capture me as then I will be blind-sighted

Grab me by the collar Lord as I can’t move on my own

Lift me over the obstacles that seem to be everywhere

Please provide room and board as by storms of life I’m thrown

Tossed up and down and all around in this confusing sphere
